Educational Technology Research Seminar

Alumni are invited to a Faculty Research Seminar on Monday 27th February 12.00 - 1.00pm at the I M Marsh Campus, Room B004, Barkhill House, Barkhill Road, Liverpool, L17 6BD.

Phil Duggan will be presenting a paper on:

‘Planning for ambivalence in a competitive message environment: Innovations in the assessment of professional learning’

Phil is a specialist in Information and Communication Technology education and has been involved in the subject as teacher and lecturer since 1983 working in a number of schools and universities across the country. Phil also worked for Wirral LA as a Key Stage 3 ICT Consultant enhancing classroom practice and supporting advisers and teachers in more than 25 Wirral schools.

Phil is Head of Secondary Postgraduate Programmes and has particular responsibility for all Post Graduate Teacher Training. Phil has particular expertise in the design and development of software interfaces and the development of innovative e-portfolios.

Phil’s main research focus is in the area of Educational Technology. He is also heavily involved in researching the holistic impact of online assessment in Initial Teacher Training.
