How, what and why we Think
The University has launched a new magazine called Think which aims to be the shop window to the University, keeping those individuals and organisations who know LJMU engaged and interested, and attracting the attention of those who do not know us. It does this by demonstrating the impact of our work across society, in an accessible and readable format.
Two the new industry relationships have emerged from the first two issues.
Director of the World of Work Careers Centre, Terry Dray, met with Phil Millward, HR Director at Vauxhall Motors, and reports: “We enjoyed a very productive and mutually-beneficial discussion, and we are now waiting on confirmation of how Vauxhall would like to link to LJMU’s World of Work programme”.
In addition, Richard Else, Operations Director of Jaguar LandRover’s Halewood plant has committed to attend the launch of the refurbished automotive labs in the spring, and meet the LJMU Formula Student team. Jaguar LandRover is one of the sponsors of the Formula Student competition.
