Vicci Boyd
Vicci is a BSc Coaching Science with Psychology Graduate from Liverpool John Moores University a course that she returned to as Programme Leader in 2005.
Upon Graduation Vicci took a post as National Training Manager for a Youth Fitness training company focussing on improving and developing training and educational courses. Vicci then ran her own successful consultancy company for 3 years consulting for various Governing Bodies of Sport, Fitness Industry training providers and Government agencies as well as a number of commercial sports companies. Vicci is a tutor and tutor trainer for a number of Sporting governing bodies and still works to improve coach education provision for these sports.
Vicci joined the Sports Development team in 2007 and is involved primarily in areas related to coaching, work related learning, psychology of sport and activity the development of coach education resources. Vicci is currently undertaking her PhD with plans to expand her research portfolio as a member of the teaching staff here at LJMU. Vicci has research interests in body image and implications for performers as well as coach education and resource development.

Career history and current interests
International Athlete and was also Assistant National Coach and Regional Coach, Athlete and Coach mentor for UK Athletics, Coach Education development for UK Athletics, Fitness Officer for a Local Authority, National Training Manager for a Youth Fitness company, Fitness and Coach Education Training Consultant for Skills Active, Fitness Industry Association and numerous National Governing Bodies. Acting Programme Leader for Coaching Science at LJMU then moved to I.M.Marsh to work on the Sports Development Programme and assist in the development of the Coaching Development Programme.

Mentoring, Counselling, Psychology and Women in Sport, Body Image, reflection and Work Related Learning and Employability, Body image and implications for sport and activity, Coach Education provision and development, Resource development for tutors.

Work with numerous placement providers to maintain relationships with the University, forging research links and developing opportunities for our students in relation to employability.
