The Institute also helps to develop policy through its work. Our evaluation of the British Government's Action for Cities programme played a major part in the introduction of the City Challenge initiative, and we were appointed as national evaluators.

Our work for DGXVI of the European Commission was instrumental in the development of the Community's URBAN initiative.
