Though each of the team act as representatives for the whole of the Faculty of Science, they also act as specialist primary contacts for each of our schools.
Tim Sellars – Student Recruitment & Admissions Manager, Faculty of Science.
Tim is a graduate in Economic & Social History from the University of Liverpool. On graduating Tim worked for a brief spell at LJMU with international students at the Language School. He then left LJMU to work for a team of Higher Education consultants in Manchester. He also completed a Masters degree in 2002.
In 2004, Tim returned to LJMU in his current role. He is now responsible for the management of the admissions team and the admissions process at the Faculty of Science.
Tim sees his current role as both challenging and very rewarding. He passionately believes in the advantages and benefits that higher education can give both to individuals and to society as a whole. Tim has given a series of talks in cities across India promoting UK Higher Education, he also travels to countries in Europe to promote science at LJMU.

Shaun Kent– Admissions Officer, School of Pharmacy & Biomolecular Sciences
Shaun has recently joined the Science Admissions team from another role within LJMU. Shaun is the main point of contact for courses within the field of Biomolecular Sciences including Forensic Science, Nutrition, Biomedical Science and Biochemistry. Shaun is a graduate of Consumer Studies & Marketing from LJMU.
Dave Leigh – Admissions Officer, School of Natural Sciences & Psychology
Dave has recently returned to Science Admissions following a secndment period. He is now the Admissions Officer for the School of Natural Sciences & Psychology and can be contacted about any of the courses run by the school, including Environmental Sciences, Geography, Animal Behaviour, Biology, Zoology and Applied Psychology.
Liz Egerton – Admissions Officer, School of Sport & Exercise Sciences & Astrophysics Research Institute
Liz, a graduate from the University of Salford joined LJMU as the Faculty admissions assistant in 2004. She then progressed onto admissions work within the faculty gaining a sound working knowledge of each school. She is now the Admissions Officer for all undergraduate programmes within the School of Sport & Exercise Sciences, she can also be contacted by those interested in courses within the Astrophysics Research Institute.
Marlena Chrostowska - Admissions Officer for MPharm Pharmacy and ACAPS

John McCormack – Faculty of Science Postgraduate Admissions Officer
John, a graduate of the University of Sheffield is the longest serving member of the admissions team. In the past he has fulfilled a number of roles around the university including the role as admissions officer for the School of Sport & Exercise Sciences. John now works on a part-time basis as admissions officer for all postgraduate programmes within the Faculty of Science.
