Chair/Chairman of Committees

1. The appointment of a Chair or Chairman of a Committee of the Board is approved by the Board of Governors.
   
   
2. Any appointment will be for an initial period of 3 years, after which time the appointment must be reviewed by the Board annually.
   
   
3. A Governor can serve as Chair or Chairman of a Committee up to a maximum period of 6 years.  This is in recognition that the appointment may reflect particular expertise of a Governor directly relevant to the terms of reference of the Committee.
