Equal Opportunities Monitoring for Governors of LJMU
At its meeting on 30th June 2008 the Board gave their approval to incorporate the LJMU Governors into the University's equal opportunities monitoring process to engender best practice.
The monitoring and analysis of equal opportunities data of students, job applicants, members of staff and Governors flags up any under-represented groups and allows the University to undertake positive action initiatives accordingly.
All Governors of LJMU on the 30th June 2008 were invited to provide their data to the University and it became normal practice as part of the recruitment of new Board members to request them on a voluntary basis to complete an equality & diversity monitoring sheet.
The data collected is used for the running of equal opportunities monitoring reports, the provision of any support and the sharing with Nominations Committee in support of Governor succession planning activities.
