Quality of Life, Living with disability or illness

Expert LJMU researchers are examining the physical, mental and emotional needs of children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities and special educational needs.

LJMU researchers are evaluating established initiatives and programmes to establish their effectiveness at improving the quality of life for specific groups of potentially vulnerable people. Where deficiencies arise, the researchers are identifying new ways of working and recommending how to secure effective change.

The main role of the research team is to evaluate current procedures and improve provisions already in place for those who are most in need of of assistance.
