Misuse and Abuse of Drugs
This area includes illicit, prescribed and over-the-counter medicines. Extensive work has been conducted in drugs in sport which has highlighted important abuse and has resulted in changes to WADA recommendations. Ongoing research includes attitudes of community pharmacy staff and undergraduate pharmacy students to drug misusers and assessment of the needs of problem drug misusers.
