LJMU Institute for Health Research
Health and health-related research accounts for two-thirds of all research undertaken at LJMU. This portal offers a comprehensive overview of this work while also highlighting the main collaborators and stakeholders in this field.
The Institute for Health (IHR) was established in 2006 to provide a cross-faculty structure for all of the University's health and health-related research.
This portal provides easy access to information about the key networks of health and health-related research, with the goal of increasing understanding about the work undertaken by academics and researchers across the University. It is also designed to foster positive working relationships between health-related disciplines.
The site is divided into four categories, reflecting the breadth and depth of the health and health-related research:
-
Organisation and Delivery of Services
-
Health Promotion, Policy and Inequalities
-
Quality of Life
-
Medical Sciences and Therapeutics

Membership of the IHR
LJMU researchers, postgraduate resarch students and representatives from affiliate member organisations can join the IHR by becoming a member of a specific research network. Membership of one or more of the research networks is encouraged to promote the sharing of knowledge and research methodologies between Faculties and Schools. Please click here to view IHR membership options and other information related to the research networks.
