Security Software and advice
McAfee Antivirus software
The McAfee antivirus software package is installed on all of our networked PCs. Constantly running in the background, the software offers comprehensive protection from the threat of infection by viruses.
In addition, all university computer users are licenced to install McAfee VirusScan on their own computer completely free of charge. The application is available to download or can be copied on to a CD or memory stick and installed on your home computer and is available from the 'Home Use Software Area' found at https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/ITHelp/software/secured/homeuse/118626.htm
To help you install the software, Planning and Information have produced an installation and configuration guide to ensure maximum protection.
