Student PCs to be upgraded to Office 2007 this Summer

Computing and Information Services are pleased to announce that Microsoft Office will be upgraded to the latest version, Office 2007. All student PCs will be upgraded over the summer, and the upgrade will be available to staff PCs on request from the beginning of June.

Why Upgrade?

Microsoft Office 2007 is the latest version of the industry standard suite of applications and contains many new features and improvements, together with a distinctive new look and feel, which sees the familiar Office menus replaced by the Office Button and Ribbon.

The applications included within Office 2007 are:

  • Outlook 2007
  • Word 2007
  • Excel 2007
  • PowerPoint 2007
  • Access 2007
  • Publisher 2007
  • OneNote 2007
  • InfoPath 2007
  • Sharepoint Designer 2007

Home Use Software

As a member of staff at LJMU, you can download a copy of the software to install on your home PC now, and explore the new features.
