Entry requirements for students from Japan
Japan
All international applicants for LJMU courses are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or TOEFL.

Entry onto our Undergraduate programmes-(BA, BSc, BEng)
We are happy to consider a number of qualifications for direct entry onto our undergraduate bachelor degree programmes. All applications for undergraduate programmes must be made through UCAS.
A Level
Applicants with a minimum of 3 A levels or 2 A levels + 2 AS levels will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.
International Baccalaureate
Applicants with a minimum of 28 points will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.
Foundation Programmes
If you do not meet the above entry criteria, we offer a programme that will improve your English and academic ability. Our Foundation Year will prepare you for undergraduate study and, on successful completion, you will be guaranteed entry onto a wide range of our undergraduate degree programmes.

For Entry onto our Postgraduate Taught Programmes-(MA, MSc)
Holders of a good bachelor degree from a recognised university in Japan will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or masters programmes.
For Entry onto our MBA programme
Holders of a good bachelor degree from a recognised university in Japan will be considered for direct admission.
For Entry onto our Executive MBA programme
Holders of a good bachelor degree from a recognised university in Japan and at least 3 years´ post-graduation work experience will be considered for direct admission to the Executive MBA programme.
For Entry to Postgraduate Research Programmes-(MPhil, PhD)
Holders of a good bachelor degree and a good masters degree from a recognised university in Japan will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate research programmes.
