Medical First Aid on Board
This is an MCA approved course which meets the mandatory requirements for Seafarers who are designated to provide Medical First Aid on Board Ship or for Officers who are seeking to gain Certificates of Competency. The course covers the principles, priorities and management of first aid, basic life support, structure of the human body and treatment of infections and diseases enabling delegates to effectively respond to medical emergencies.
Duration: 4 days
Standard: STCW95 A-VI/4; IMO 1.14
Entry requirements:
- Candidates must be 16 or more years of age
Issue of a certificate: Delegates are assessed during practical Exercises and via a Multiple Choice Examination Paper
