The course provides training in the role of the Safety Officer. The requirements set out in the Code of Safe Working Practice and MS Regulation SI 1997 / 2962. Methods of risk assessment, audit and accident reporting are covered.
Duration: 3 days
Standard: MS Regulation SI 1997 / 2962
Entry requirements: Delegates should be 18 years of age and have at least 12 months sea service. An understanding of the Code of Safe Working Practices is of benefit.
Issue of certificate: The presentation will be formally assessed and the delegate's understanding and performance will be assessed throughout the course.
