Aldham Robarts library reopening

07 October 2009

The newly refurbished Aldham Robarts Learning Resource Centre was successfully re-opened to staff and students at 9am on Monday 5 October.

The new Learning Resource Centre (LRC) has been designed so that all study and student support needs can be accessed in one place.

The ground floor of the LRC has been transformed into the Student Support Zone, in which you will find the Hub and Transaction desks, as well as a range of learning areas, allowing students to choose how and where they work, either  individually or in groups, in informal comfortable surroundings.

In addition the other floors have been divided into zones, including refreshment areas.

Services and facilities available in your LRC include:

  • Hub - room bookings, advice, support, appointments, access to employability services, counselling and welfare and laptop loans
  • Transaction - enrolment, student finance and student administration
  • Zones – library floors, computing, quiet study, meeting rooms and postgraduate zone
  • Self Service – book issue and return, printing and photocopying, wireless network, computers and vending

Library and Student Support are available at the service desks and around the LRC to help and advise everyone who comes into the LRC.
