A special rock concert is being organised by an LJMU student in aid of ‘Brake’ - a new road safety charity.

At the event you'll get the chance to see the rising stars of tomorrow, with a range of bands from across Liverpool - from indie to to punk.

Joe Bailes, a student at LJMU, organised the event after the loss of his cousin in a road accident just over a year ago. The event will support the charity ‘Brake’, which specialises in providing support and information for victims, carers and road users.

Joe commented: “How many people are lost to road accidents each year? This is a way of drawing attention to the problem while still enabling people to have a great night out. We hope we’ll be making people think, as well as giving them the opportunity to enjoy themselves, watching some great local talent.”

Bands on the roster include: Lady Vain (Ska/Punk), Stop, Don’t Jump (Acoustic Rock Duo), Anthym (Acoustic Rock Duo) and Lost to be Found (Indie) - all Liverpool based musicians.

The event takes place on Thursday 26 November at The Kazimier, 4-6, Wolstenholme Square, Liverpool (next door to Medication/Nation). The event starts at 8pm - tickets will be on sale at the door.
