University buildings open for business

LJMU buildings open as usual from Monday 11th January.
Staff in Property Services have been working throughout the weekend to ensure that all University buildings will be open as normal for students and staff on Monday 11th January. A limited stock of grit has been secured for the University and walkways have been cleared to ensure limited, but safe, pedestrian access into and around the campus areas.
University car parking and roadways have not been gritted, although disabled parking will be made available if required. The Egerton Court car park will be closed on Monday but nearby city council owned Mount Pleasant is clear. IM Marsh and the surrounding roads continue to be icy. Staff and students are strongly advised to use public transport if at all possible.
