Dr Lee Grieveson is Reader in Film Studies and Director of the Graduate Programme in Film Studies at University College London. He is the author of Policing Cinema: Movies and Censorship in Early Twentieth Century America and co-editor of Inventing Film Studies.
Grieveson is also co-principal investigator of a major UK Arts and Humanities Research Council funded project entitled "Colonial cinema: moving images of the British Empire," a project which both aims to digitally archive British colonial cinema spanning the twentieth-century and to organize scholarly gatherings to investigate these materials.
