Venue: Liverpool Hope University, Hope Park, Taggart Avenue, Liverpool, L16 9JD
The Black and Minority Recruitment and Retention Conference is a product of the work conducted by the Merseyside Black and Minority Ethnic Steering Group. This Steering Group brings together The University of Chester, Edge Hill University, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Hope University, The Merseyside and Cheshire GTP Consortium and representatives of Merseyside community groups with school-based input who all work collaboratively to encourage the recruitment and retention of Black and Minority Ethnic Trainee Teachers.
The conference itself will aim to look at barriers, perceptions, existing work that is being done in addition to most importantly sharing good practice across all individuals and partner organisations who recognise having a diverse teaching population is at the heart of promoting cultural awareness and providing inspirational role models to young people.
