The Centre for Education Studies and Primary Education have recently had their 7th book published - with number 8 due in March 2010.

Twelve members of the centre have collaborated in the production of the books over the last 4 years, as well as staff from within the Faculty. All the texts support the programmes in the Centre.

Titles include:

  • Education studies: Issues and Critical Perspectives
  • Key Issues in Childhood and Youth Studies
  • Key Issues in Special Educational Needs and Inclusion
  • Exploring Key Issues in Education
  • Talk and Learning: Attitudes to Speaking, Listening and Collaborative Work and the Quality of Children’s Talk

All royalties from the book ‘Education Studies: An introduction’ have been donated by the authors to the annual Louise Meenan Memorial Prize, while profits from other books go to ‘Medicine sans Frontiers’.
