Byrom Street - safety notice
09 February 2010
The second phase of the rain screen cladding project to upgrade the external facia of the James Parson building is about to start at Byrom Street this week. This second phase will address the elevation at the back of the 7 storey building.
The aluminium cladding system make the buildings at Byrom Street water tight and the new windows allow mechanical ventilation. The cladding also complements the new Tom Reilly Building that was completed in December 2009.
To allow scaffolding to be erected and work to commence on the site, an area adjacent to the James Parsons building will be cordoned off and will not be accessible to staff, students or visitors. Please take note of site safety signage at all times.
Any queries about the project should be forwarded to Tracey Price, Director of Campus Developments, at t.a.price@ljmu.ac.uk
