Two new World of Work employer events are taking place during February, available to all LJMU students and staff.
Essential Intelligence about STEM Careers
Caroline Sudworth, Manager of Higher Education Engagement at Cogent, the Sector Skills Council for the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nuclear, oil and gas, petroleum and polymer industries, is delivering a labour market briefing. Caroline will talk about key industry details, the economic picture, labour market intelligence, employment rates, how sectors are performing and skills gap indicators.

Employer Event - Alternative Options with a Psychology Degree
If you would like to hear more about alternative (but related) options with a psychology degree then come along to this employer event. You will hear from employers from a range of employment areas such as counselling, mental health nursing and social work. There will also be a speaker to inform you about how psychology can be used in a business career. Employers will tell you about what their work involves and how they got into it. There will be a representative from Liverpool Volunteer Centre to provide information about voluntary work opportunities. This event may be of particular interest to psychology students but students who are studying any subject are also invited to attend.
Please note: the agenda for this event may be subject to change and (in the event of short notice cancellations from employers) the event organisers may need to substitute speakers from job areas other than those mentioned above.
