LJMU Fashion students hit the headlines

23 May 2012

The collections of final year Fashion students were selected for an exclusive Liverpool Echo feature ahead of the Graduate Degree catwalk shows.

The designs of Emma Arcari and Deseree Bagtas were photographed atop the Art and Design Academy. Emma's collection is based on Hollywood glamour juxtaposed against the theme of insanity and Deseree's futuristic designs, which are made with materials common to parachutes, began with the concept of 1940's wartime.

Senior Lecturer in Fashion, Lesley Peacock, says she is delighted with the high standard of work from this year's cohort.

This is an open exhibition which features the work of all of this year's graduates from the School, including graduates of Architecture, Fine Art, Graphic Arts, Interior Design, Popular Music Studies and Product Design, as well as Fashion (Communication) and Fashion (Design).

The event is free to attend and will be open from 12pm to 6pm daily. No booking is required.
