Summer Workshops at the World of Work Careers Centre
07 June 2012
The World of Work Careers Centre is running a series of careers and employability workshops over the summer months to help students get up to speed with the jobs market.
These sessions are not aimed only at final year students about to graduate, but are of huge benefit to all students looking for an edge on the competition. Our Ready for Work sessions run throughout the summer with workshops on Creative Job Hunting, How to write a Winning CV, the Art of Application Forms, Preparation for Interviews, Assessment Centres, Presentation Skills and Psychometric Testing Practice.
There are two World of Work Skills Boot Camps left in this academic year giving students the chance to achieve the employer-backed World of Work Skills Certificate.
For final year students who will soon be graduating this will be the final chance to get the Certificate before leaving LJMU. For more information about the World of Work Skills Boot Camp, including video testimonials from students who have achieved the Certificate, visit www.ljmu.ac.uk/wow/do-it.
For any science students looking for either a graduate job or internship, Redx Pharma Recruitment, based in Liverpool, will be coming to the World of Work Careers Centre on Tuesday 12th June from 1pm to 2.30pm to give a talk about the roles they have available and give tips about what they consider to be a strong CV and cover letter.
To book a place on any of these sessions go to our events webpage or visit the World of Work website.
