Pool of Blood Liverpool preview show sold out
31 July 2012
Pool of Blood, a preview show by Mad World Theatre from the Liverpool Screen School Drama Department, has sold out.
With rehearsals well underway, Mad World Theatre (from Liverpool Screen School's Drama Department) is preparing for a sold-out, Liverpool preview of Pool of Blood, on 30 July. The guillotine is prepared, the blood is nearly ready, the cast are finessing their illusions, and a fresh body is on order (courtesy of Lifecast, London). The Company then head straight up to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Pool of Blood opens in Edinburgh on 3 August for a 9-night run at the Grand Theatre, at the Surgeons' Hall, one of the Fringe's most prestigious and central venues.
The show is set in the early twentieth century in a theatre where the company are struggling to sell tickets. In order to save their suffering business, they transform from illusionists into a theatre of horrors.
Ros Merkin, co-Director of Pool of Blood said, "It's a late night show that will be lots of fun for both the cast and the audience but which has a dark and disturbing heart."
For all those who have missed out on tickets for the Liverpool preview, tickets are still available for the Edinburgh performances (see booking info, below), and you can follow Pool of Blood’s progress through the video diary.
