Do you have the skills to help benefit our local communities?
LJMU Volunteering is looking for people with the right skills to work with community organisations and social enterprises. Using your business and leadership skills you can have an impact on our local society and enjoy yourself by getting involved in something different, possibly a little challenging but certainly rewarding.
The Bee Hive is a respected and established centre in Liverpool that provides a valuable community learning resource. The centre is a fine old building but is in need of attention and the community is looking to form itself into a more business-like outfit to provide a sustainable income for that purpose. The Beehive Hive is looking for people with IT experience especially web construction. The group also requires help designing and writing its restructuring and business plans.
Tell the World is located in Liverpool and they run a series of workshops for local community groups and social enterprises. Past sessions have included workshops on Governance, HR matters, Marketing, Sales Technique and Facility Management. They are looking for people to use their expertise to run and lead a workshop.
Plan for Growth is located within Liverpool and the organisation seeks to encourage regeneration and social and economic development in one of Liverpool’s most deprived areas. The group is looking to develop a permanent base in the area that will be owned and managed by the community. To do this the group needs to develop a business plan to make them more attractive to funders and business partners. Help is required in designing, creating and implementing a business plan. This is an excellent opportunity for anybody wishing to be involved in the development of a growing local amenity.
