Student health

Student life can be stressful especially when you are trying to balance academic demands, part time work and a social life. All these demands can have an impact on your health.
The University would like to take this opportunity to remind students that, if they haven’t already, they should register with a doctor close to where they live or study, and not wait until they feel unwell.
With so many students studying at LJMU there are occasions when contagious diseases breakout within the University community, and students are advised to seek medical assistance if they feel unwell for any length of time.
Students are also reminded that they should immediately inform the University if they contract a contagious disease. Contagious diseases include mumps, measles and meningitis.
Further information regarding registering with a doctor can be obtained by logging onto www.nhsdirect.co.uk or by telephoning 0845 46 47.
