Students commended for additional work.

Final year BA Business Management, BA Business Studies and BA Business and Finance students who took part in an optional module relating to customer care have been rewarded for their efforts.

Students who took part in the additional customer care course.

In addition to their core subjects, the students took part in a course provided by the Academy of Excellence in Customer Care, a Liverpool City Council initiative, to develop their interpersonal skills, including how to engage with customers, managing working relationships with colleagues and handling complaints.

Mike Meaney, Customer Care Consultant at the Academy, came to LJMU to award the students with their certificates.

Course leader, Alex Douglas, said: "Over 150 students have now gone through the course provided by the Academy and it is very worthwhile. They have to put in a considerable amount of extra effort to pass but it gives them skills that many of their peers won't have and therefore enables them to stand out from the crowd when it comes to looking to start their career."
