Lecturer wins Literati Award

Liverpool Business School is pleased to announce that Alex Douglas has been acclaimed as a Leading Editor in the Literati Network 2009 Awards for Excellence, in recognition of the outstanding contribution he has made to the TQM Journal.

Alex accepts the Leading Editor award from Emerald Publisher Lucy SootheranThe Leading Editor awards acknowledge the high commitment that editors have to the development, promotion and standing of journals published by Emerald.

Alex, Reader in Service Quality Management, recently attended an Editor Day at the Emerald Head Office in Bingley, West Yorkshire, where he received his Leading Editor award (pictured).
 
In addition to being Managing Editor of the TQM Journal, Alex has acted as a judge for the 2008 Emerald/European Foundation for Management Development Outstanding Doctoral Awards.  He has been involved with the proposal for a new journal to be launched in January 2010 – the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma – and he regularly acts as a reviewer for a number of journals, including Quality Assurance in Education, Management Decision, and Quality and Industrial Management and Data Systems.  Alex has also recently been invited to be a member of the Editorial Advisory Board on the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma.
