Engineering symposium

05 June 2009

The General Engineering Research Institute (GERI) at LJMU runs an annual research symposium called the GERI Annual Research Symposium (GARS).

GARS is organised entirely by the more senior ranks of the younger tier of post-doctoral researchers in the Institute, rather than the senior Professors/Directorate, to give the researchers the experience of organising a medium-sized conference, forming part of their continuing professional development.

GARS 2009 will be taking place on Tuesday 23 June. Attendance at the symposium is free and anybody from the University is welcome to attend.

LJMU Vice Chancellor Professor Michael Brown will be opening the symposium from 9.00am - 9.15am and Professor Allan Boardman from the University of Salford will be delivering a keynote presentation at 9.15am.

A full programme for the day can be downloaded here. For further information please visit the GARS website.
