Adopt-a-plot

26 June 2009

Richard Reynolds, author of ‘Guerrilla Gardening’, met with Merseyside residents participating in the Adopt-a-plot community partnership project.

Richard Reynolds shared his experiences as a self-titled ‘Guerrilla Gardener’ who tries to reclaim urban turf that has been neglected or altogether forgotten. Following a lively Q&A, he took a trip out to one of the plots at Linden Park which is at the early stages of its makeover.

Adopt-a-plot is a community partnership project (www.adoptaplot.org) delivered by LJMU’s International Centre for Digital Content.  The project will run from April to July with a finale exhibition at Bluecoat Arts Centre.

The project is part of Culture Liverpool’s Four Corners of the City Series.  Four Corners is a city-wide creative neighbourhoods regeneration programme working with residents, cultural organisations and neighbourhood services
