The World of Work Careers Centre (formerly the Graduate Development Centre) offers a range of services designed to support graduates in their job hunting. These services are available to LJMU alumni who graduated up to 3 years ago.
Access to the LJMU Graduate Vacancy System: This is a free service for students and graduates of LJMU. Register here for the site
Appointments with Employability Advisers or Careers Advisers: pre-bookable one to one interviews with advisers are available for information, advice or guidance
Practice interviews: enabling you to build confidence by experiencing a one-to-one mock interview. This will be conducted by one of our trained assessors who will give you detailed feedback and advice. Our specially designed interview suites make the experience very realistic and we can also record your interview and feedback on DVD. You will need to send in your CV prior to the interview. Please note: Although it is not compulsory, you are strongly encouraged to ‘dress to impress’ by wearing appropriate interview clothing.
'Get That Job’ Days: An intensive day of workshops designed to improve your opportunities in a competitive graduate labour market. Each ‘Get That Job Day’ consists of four workshops: Creative Job Hunting, How to Write a Winning CV, Application Forms Made Simple and Preparing for Interviews.
The programme starts at 9.30 and finishes at 16.00 on the following dates:
