The Student Governance team is located within Legal and Governance Services with primary focus upon the contractual relationship with our students, related policies, regulations and associated procedures including:
- Conduct of Assessment Boards
- Academic Appeals
- Academic Misconduct
- Student Complaints
- Extenuating Circumstances
- Student Discipline
- Fitness to Practise / Study
- Criminal Convictions Procedure
The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of these policies and provides advice, assistance and support to staff in their effective operation.
The team is also engaged in monitoring external developments which may impact upon the formal relationship with students and provides strategic and operational advice to the University regarding appropriate policy development.
