Information for Placements
Counsellor Placements
The Counselling Service offers the following placements:
- Trainee Placements to Student Counsellors
- Associate Placements to recently qualified counsellors who are looking to develop their clinical pratice
(We do not accept applications from existing LJMU students, if you would like to discuss why please feel free to contact the placement coordinator)
The University Counselling Service is committed to providing a high quality, professional and confidential service, in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practise in Counselling and Psychotherapy, to students and staff of the university.
Supervision
Monthly Supervision is provided free of charge, either individually or in a group.
Application Process
Interested applicants are invited to download the Trainee and Associate descriptions and contact the placement coordinator, either by telephone or email, for an informal discussion and the next steps to take. Associate applicants can also download the Associate application form.
