By Bus:
The National Express coach company has regular (and cheap) services running to all major cities in the UK.

By Rail:
Railway services from Lime Street station also visit many of the major UK destinations. Timetable and booking details can be found at www.nationalrail.co.uk and www.thetrainline.com.

Europe
European destinations can be accessed by Air, Sea, or Rail.

For flights from Liverpool visit the Easyjet and RyanAir sites.

For flights from other UK airports it is best to visit an online travel site such as lastminute.com or TravelSupermarket.com

Travel Information

Buses
Liverpool City Centre has two major bus stations - Paradise Street Bus Station and the Queen Square Bus Station. Other main bus stops can be found at Victoria Street, Sir Thomas Street, London Road and Renshaw Street.

City Centre Buses- Merseytravel run a mini bus service looping around the city centre (including the Albert Dock, Anglican Cathedral and Liverpool ONE) for a fixed journey fee which are a good way of getting around and getting familiar with the City Centre.  Details of where you catch these services are available at http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/service_timetables_view.asp?dir=tt_Alpha

Trains
Liverpool has a good local rail service. The Northern Line connects Liverpool with Ormskirk, Kirkby, Southport and Hunts Cross, while the Wirral Line links Liverpool with West Kirby, Ellesmere Port, New Brighton and Chester. The local trains serve Liverpool City Centre at four stations: Liverpool Central, Moorfields, James Street and Lime Street, which is the City's main train station, serving local and national routes.

Merseytravel produce booklets for each bus and train service, outlining routes and departure times. These are available from the Queen Square Travel Centre or direct from: Merseytravel, 24 Hatton Garden, Liverpool L3 2AN.
