LJMU Racing team's competition entries over the years

 

Now entering its 4th year of class 1 competition in Formula Student, the LJMU Racing team has gone from strength to strength with a string of successful results. At Formula Student UK 2012, LJMU Racing team achieved their best result yet, coming 12th overall (out of 130+ teams) and 2nd out of the UK teams taking part at competition. To make this possible LJMU Racing's ethos has been to each year decrease the number of bought in components, instead preferring to design, develop and manufacture our own parts where possible. Through bringing many key components under our control, we have been able to develop and optimize the our race cars for formula student competition in ways that would not be possible with aftermarket parts.

 For the team's 2013 season it is planned to take part in 3 competitions, Formula student UK, Formula Student Germany and Formula Student China.

End of Exams

As of today, exams at Liverpool John Moores University have finished (for the engineering students). Allowing the team to put their full focus into the build if this year's formula student entry. Progress and images to be posted soon

Product Design Show

This evening LJMU hosted its 3rd product design show, displaying finest work of its BSc design students. The event was host to the Vice Chancellor, Nigel Weatherill, as well various alumni and representatives of local businesses. As part of the design show, LJMU Racing was invited to display our 2012 car which drew much attension.
